Rainforest house is the dream of Steve
Dungey and his wife Trupti.....Steve, from
London always felt at home in Rishikesh,
loving the meditative energy and natural
beauty of the place. "I first came to Rishi-
kesh in 2000 and during that visit met my
guru Swami Muktananda and since then
have had the feeling that this is where i
want to live." says Steve............
& when Trupti, from Bombay met Steve
for the first time, things clicked instantly
and 3 months later they were married and
beginning their life together in Rishikesh,
she says, " when i first visited Rishikesh, i
was completely enchanted by it's lush
green mountains, deep emerald river &
white sandy beaches, it was unbelievable!!"

| Swami Muktananda had given Steve the thought of making a nice guest house here & Trupti being an architect was a perfect coincidence! "so we started our search for a nice piece of land & it ended when we arrived here...... little away from the crowded touristic areas, just 3km from Laxman jhula market place, in the middle of a jungle and by the river Ganga, cudn't get better than that....!! & we knew exactly how we wanted our guesthouse to be......... simple, rustic and homely! both of us having a love and respect for nature, wanted to build in a way that would incorporate and emphasise the natural beauty of the land and surroundings." |
